Alpine Walking and French Language Tuition

Greg and Linda Murrow

We are former secondary school teachers who have relocated to the French Alps, to live in the ski resort of Serre Chevalier.

We have registered individually as 'Autoentrepreneurs' in order to offer two distinct services.

Greg  was a qualified International Mountain Leader and a member of both the British Association of International Mountain Leaders (BAIML) and the French equivalent SNAM. He is now retired from working as an Accompagnateur en Montagne, guiding sub glacial non technical mountain walking and snowshoe trips but please feel free to chat with him about potential walks, climbs and skiing in the area during your stay.

Linda  specialises in teaching French to native English speakers. Her secondary school teaching career gave her the skills to maximise the learning potential of her students by using a variety of techniques including the modern methods provided by interactive media.

We are both keen skiers and rock climbers with extensive knowledge of the Briançon area in all seasons, able to show the best slopes and crags to those who prefer to enjoy their outdoor sports independently.

Perhaps you are looking for dramatic Alpine walking to peaks over 3000m or some individual tuition to enable you to converse with the locals, shop confidently, understand the météo and menu at mealtimes.

Are you an English speaker hoping for an intensive French course alongside a holiday with a family of skiers/climbers/kayakers or do you live in the area and wish to improve your language skills?

Maybe you and your friends just love walking in the UK and you would like to extend your mountain experience .
